COMPREHENSIVE EMPLOYERS INDEMNITY
(Non-Subscription Program)

Combined Independent Agencies (CIA) has long been the recognized leader in providing insurance products and support services to those employers electing to become non-subscribers for their Texas employee injury exposure. These products and services provide indemnity for an employer's expenses under an ERISA employee welfare plan designed to provide maximum employer control of claims cost; administration; and, choice of medical and service providers. TAB DENT
Dual-Option Dental Plan

The dual-option dental plan allows an employer to choose between offering employees a dental HMO or a Reduced-Fee-for-Service (RFFS) Dental Plan.   The DHMO offers reasonable rates with no-charge services that include routine x-rays and cleanings, topical fluoride, local anesthesia and oral exams.  Many other services are provided at substantial discounts.  The RFFS Dental Plan has lower fees for participation, but the list of covered services is limited.  Each plan  has its own Dental Provider Directory, and both include discount vision, hearing and prescription drug benefits at no additional cost.  There is a three-employee  minimum participation requirement for the dental plan.  Descriptive information and sample enrollment documents are available.  For a list of DHMO network providers, click here. (www.compdent.com)

TAB COMP
Workers' Compensation Insurance

This program offers special benefits and services for member companies.  Features include competitive rates, premium discounts, deductible credits, and an opportunity for dividends based on experience. Coverage is underwritten by Zenith Star Insurance Company, a Texas-based insurance company dedicated  exclusively to the TAB COMP Safety Group Program.  Zenith is rated A (Excellent) by A.M. TAB AD&D PLUS
High-Limit Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance

This is voluntary coverage that requires no employer contribution and no minimum participation.  It provides 24-hour protection for employees and their families,  available in amounts from $10,000 to $500,000.  Also, employees are eligible for $1,000 of no-cost coverage (which TAB purchases for members) and many other no-cost features.

Term Life Insurance

Here is an opportunity to offer term life insurance at affordable rates, and no employer contribution is required. Employees may apply for up to $500,000 of  coverage, $10,000 of which is guaranteed issue if the employee is under age 70.  Spouses may apply for up to $500,000 of "stand-alone" coverage, and children's coverage is $10,000.

Long-Term Care Insurance

Long-term care insurance can be used when someone needs assistance with the activities of daily living due to an accident, illness or advancing age, either in an adult care center, an assisted living facility, a nursing home, or at home. This plan offers group or individual coverage, tax advantages for employers who purchase the coverage, potential tax savings for employees who pay for their coverage, and benefits are tax-free, subject to IRS limitations.  The individual coverage is voluntary and requires no minimum participation or employer contribution.  Quote Request Forms are available.
